Honeymoon Day 3 - Tokyo

Destination : Shibuya -->Tokyo Disneyland --> Asakusa

Breakfast with the Yeos. Yummy Crepes!

Jon the docile one.

Women Only Cart onboard the train to Disneyland

Kim: I belong here....

Kim: Hmm.. does he?
** Actually the woman only rule applies to peak hours on weekdays only =P**

A funny sight spotted in the train.
The big bun is actually holding her head up.

Any guesses on where we are?

Here's another hint?

MickeyMouse Land

Go0fy

Almost at the Entrance

A shot with the spring flowers.

Tickets and Maps

The shopping strip before the famous castle.

Ballons Anyone?

Yipee we are in!!!

Ducks living in the land where Dreams come true.

Sakura @ Disneyland

**An hour after entering Disneyland Premises, we realised that it was impossible to get on any of the rides. Average waiting time per ride was between 120mins-180mins. CRAZY!!! What's even crazier was that we managed to confused and convince the guest relation officer that we wanted out and a replacement ticket for another day =P. Although she kept saying No Change! No Change! many times, Kim was insistent and she finally relented.**
Lesson Learnt: NEVER VISIT TOKYO DISNEYLAND ON WEEKENDS!

Vending Machines, a common sight at train platforms.
** Trains are amazingly clean despite no no eating or drinking on train signs.**

An advert for COKE

Kim's a little sad to leave Disneyland

A stop over station on our way to Asakusa

Photographer at work

You snap me! I snap you!

Mainly CBD buildings around this station. Prices of food around this area is also on the higher end.

Another stop over to transfer trains

Approaching Train with Barrier
**Singapore should implement this to prevent anymore MRT jams**

Massive train network system of TOKYO only

A cute sign which should be implemented on our trains as well.

We've arrived at our Destination.

The famous Sensoji Temple (Asakusa)

This HUGE lantern is the landmark of the temple.

Guardians of the temple we think.

Flock of people local and foreign come to visit it.

LUNCH TIME

Everything looks delicious!

Some of the Set meals they offer

Guess which drink belongs to who

TADA!!!

Kim's starving so a little crazy!

Looking Delicious!

Kim thinks to herself: "Hurry hurry! I'm HUNGRY!"

Now you see it! Now you don't! OISHI!

Super CUTE mochi sets

Cute Jap Girl selling stuff

This stall actually sells those fish pancake stuff with redbean.
3 for JPY 100. SUPER YUMMY! Served piping HOT!

L: Sakura
R: Sakura falling like snow when the wind blows.

R: The Pagodas near the temple

The Sensoji Temple

Kim tidying up her hair for another shot
infront of another Red Lantern =P

Sticky Rice Flour Balls.

Foodstalls outside the temple. Skewered Meat

Time to Shake a Fortune Lot JPY100

SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE and Kim gets No.12

Its a GOOD Lot! Yay!

It's Clement's Time!

No.32 and its also a Good Lot

Apparently it is a custom to cleanse yourself before entering the temple.
Sequence: Rinse left hand, Rinse right hand then rinse mouth area. Some people actually drink the water... erm not for us.

Kim's turn

The Japanese apparently believe that the smoke from the burning incense will protect one from illnesses and ailments. Thus you'll see many pulling the smoke over themselves and kids.

**Unfortunately no pictures inside the temple**

Guess what this old man is selling for JPY50

Any ideas yet?

Its freshly made WAN WAN! Super Yummy!

A couple shot before we leave the temple

Sights of the streets near by

Chanced upon a park with Blooming Sakuras.
Lots of people were having pinics!

SUPER PRETTY!

Us by the River

Pretty Pretty Sakuras

The name of the bridge is Sakurabashi Bridge

Simply BREATH-taking

In Japan, there's no SakeSushi but there's Sushi Go Round Restaurant

Some Sights of Shibuya

Guess how much this cost? *hint divide by 64.5 to get SGD.
Apparently this is bought only when visiting really sick friends in the hospital.
Must have some kind of diamond hidden inside.

Dinner with our host family in Tokyo!
Yummy SOBA! Too hungry to take pics of food =P
