Today marks 29 weeks.
According to the lillypie counter on this blog I have only about 77 Days to go which is about 11 weeks. Wow!!! Time does fly doesn't it. It was not too long ago that I thought I just crossed the first trimester.
Had a long weekend doing nothing much. It was a time to catch up on rest.
Friday:
Hubby played golf on in the afternoon while I used the time to catch up on sleep. Picked him up after and we headed to my in-laws for dinner. One of my nephews and nieces was there. I noticed that although they were both having some fried kuey teow. One had veggies while the other didn't. So i decided to ask the little girl how come she didn't have any. She replied: "Cause I don't like." On the topic of kids being picky about food, this is something I don't really agree with. Its not like we are forcing you to eat something spicy or bitter, its just veggies. So being a meanie auntie (hubby always says I'm like the Witch Aunty that they are scared of, I mean its good to be at least afraid of one adult in the house right?) I picked off her brother's plate a few pieces of veggie and placed it on her plate and said "If you want to grow up strong, you must eat some ok?" She nodded in agreement and ate it down without any fuss. So what's it about not giving her veggies just because she says she don't like it.. this is something I don't understand.
Sat:
We both slept in late woke up and headed to Suntec for the porridge buffet. YUM! They have quite a spread and what I love most about it is the DURIAN PUFF dessert. It is funny to see how a queue forms within seconds when a serving comes out from the kitchen. People turn into vultures just to feast on the durian puff. Their burbur terigu is also not bad. Yummy! Then we walked around for a while to shop before heading off to Pre-Anenatal class 2. Bought 2 sets of pyjamas for nursing from LaSenza.
Class was fun. We watched a video on the various kinds of labour pain relief. I'm still deciding between Epidural & Entonox.or perhaps TENS (tanscutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). TENS has been know not to be very effective so I guess its out. Epidural on the other hand is highly effective but I'm just really afraid of the needle going into the spinal area and the possible side effects of it as well. Entonox is fast but it can get one too high and sick after. Sigh... which one should i choose. I did tell Hubby to prepare his arm though. That will be my best bet but who knows what decision I will make when the pain is very intense. At class we also learnt 3 different breathing techniques for pain relieve during the 3 stages of labour. Hopefully I can remember it when the pain hits me.
Sunday was another relaxing day. Had steamboat at mum's for lunch then home to rest and back there for dinner before heading home to relax to prepare for Monday's module examination.
Recently I've noticed red lines on the lower portion of my tummy. Did a google. To my disappointment it looks like i've got stretch marks. The texture of the tummy is still smooth though. It seems somewhat internal.. hope it goes aways. =(
That's all for now.
